The Rab Schedules ACOP and Annual Plan Reviews

This year the Annual Plans and ACOP (Admissions and Continued Occupancy Policy) will be presented six times by the managers and the RAB. You may attend any or as many of them as you wish. The RAB will provide light refreshments at each of the presentations.

The first presentation will be at our Quarterly RAB Meeting August 26th. There will also be information available at the annual picnic at McKinley Park on the sixth of September. For the complete list and details see the table below. Lexington Place, Windscape, Primrose, Mt. Ash Commons may choose their location preference.

RAB Elections Were Held May 27, 2008

The Resident Advisory Board (RAB) delegates got together and decided on their leadership team for the next three years.

The RAB Quarterly Meeting

Our Quarterly Meeting is scheduled for August 26, 2008 at the Comstock Apartments, 1725 K Street, Sacramento. The meeting will begin at 1:30pm and should end by 3:00pm.

RAB Annual Picnic:   Saturday September 6, 2008

The second annual RAB picnic is coming! We will be having our picnic on Saturday, September 6, 2008 at McKinley Park from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the picnic area behind the tennis courts.

We are looking for those of you interested in joining: 1) the Picnic Committee; and 2) and wishing to participate in a talent show. Please call the office for those of you interested in either group at (916) 443-5547 and either Carol or Lisa will get back to you.

We will have information available about the ACOP and the Annual Plans at the picnic site.

Come join in on all the fun, games, and food!

SHRA to Open Wait List

Sacramento Housing and Redevelopment Agency
will be accepting pre-applications
for the Public Housing Program (Non-HCV/Section 8) Waiting List
Pre-applications will be accepted
Monday, August 11, 2008, through Friday, August 22, 2008

HOW TO APPLY:
Applicants must use ONE of the following options:

1. ON-LINE SUBMISSION:

2. MAIL IN REGISTRATION FORM:

Do not send a photocopy of the pre-application form, only send the original.

Paper pre-applications will be available at the following locations:

Paper pre-applications are not available at Housing Authority locations.

The Housing Authority will select 10,000 applicants by computerized random selection to be placed on the waiting list.

The SHRA Public Housing (Non-HCV/Section 8) Program provides housing assistance to low income eligible families, individuals, and/or elderly/disabled individuals.

Youth Program at Alder Grove

We are proud to announce the Diplomatz DRO Dance Group. If you know how to pop/lock/turf or got slide game. This is the place to show your skills. The Diplomatz have preformed all across Sacramento and surrounding areas in many community events. Those who are thirteen years old or older are welcome to apply to join.

Dates: August 6 and August 27, 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Alder Grove Community Room, 816 Revere Street.

A performance will be at the RAB picnic September 6 at McKinley Park. I hope to see you there,
